Good news about Obama and to soon to tell about PA The Democrats are not going to allow Spector to have a Primary and the Republican is going to lose in November anyway against Spector.  I withhold judgement on that until closer to that time. Oblahblah is just going to continue to go down.
This was the best news I heard all day though

The MSM didn't vet Obama - they fell in love with Obama. Therefore the American people saw him through their (journalist) rose colored glasses. The MSM were drunk on the Kool-Aid.

What this poll numbers are now showing, in my opinion, are the after effects of a bad rebound "I'm over him (Bush)- one night affair". The night is over, the rosy glasses have broken, and your head is fuzzy. There is nothing left to do but break up quickly, clear your head, and change the sheets.

I always wondered if they fell in love with Obama or they just hate the Clintons so much that they pretended.  They always hate the Republicans.  I just wish the media would stop loving any candidate and actually report both sides and let me make up my own mind.  If I can find a way to feed and dress 12 kids I think I can make up my own mind on whom to vote for.
I figure it this way I voted for Hillary/McCain and they voted for Oblowme so who is the smart one?

Zogby Poll: Obama's approval rate now at 45% A RECORD LOW!

I don't know how accurate Zogby is but this is music to my ears.

http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/obama_zogby_poll_health/2009/08/20/250566.html

President Barack Obama's popularity has plummeted to a record low, with just 45 percent of voters now approving of his performance, according to the latest Zogby International poll.

Asked whether they approve or disapprove of the president's job performance, just 45.3 percent of likely voters say they approve. That compares with 50.5 percent who disapprove of the job Obama is doing.

The results are a strong indication that contentious national debate over healthcare reform has taken a major toll on the president's popularity.

Those numbers also indicate that Obama clearly is in serious political trouble, Fox News analyst and best-selling author Dick Morris tells Newsmax.

"As soon as Obama dropped below 52 percent . . . he was leaking real voters who had backed him in November," Morris tells Newsmax. "Now that he is down to 45 percent among likely voters . . . he is in deep political trouble."

Of greatest concern to Obama may well be his decline among all-important independent voters. Just 37.5 percent of self-identified independents say they approve of how Obama is handling the presidency. That compares with 59.2 percent of independents who disapprove.

"There is nothing counterintuitive in any of these numbers," pollster John Zogby of Zogby International tells Newsmax. "The president is clearly taken a slide — most especially with independent voters, who play such an important role in any legislation or policy support.

"Interestingly, the president had been making some inroads with groups like investors, and frequent Walmart shoppers . . . both typically conservative," Zogby says. "However, he has slipped considerably with them in this poll."

Zogby adds: "The healthcare plan appears to be consolidating conservative opposition and scaring independent voters."

Pundits pay especially close attention to trends involving swing voters.

Continued evidence of declining popularity there will ratchet up the pressure on congressional blue dogs and other conservative Democrats to go their own way on controversial proposals such as public-option healthcare and energy cap-and-trade, knowing they can't rely on presidential coattails to prop them up with voters.

As expected, Obama continues to score well with Democrats, who give him an 83.9 percent approval rating. But among GOP voters, Obama has flat-lined at a 5.7 percent approval rating — a problem in itself for a president who promised to bring a new, bipartisan spirit to Washington politics.

Obama's decline has been startling. Various polls had his approval rating at well over 60 percent at the 100-day mark of his presidency.

By mid-June, his approval number had dipped to 51 percent. In July, it dropped further to 48 percent of likely voters.

Experts say the failure of the $787 billion stimulus to deliver on Obama's promise of massive jobs creation, the ongoing economic woes, and the increasingly bitter fight over Democrats' determination to push the government-subsidized, public-option healthcare reforms are among the reasons for Obama's rapid descent.

"Clearly, the healthcare reform package is dragging him down," Morris tells Newsmax, "and will drag every Democrat down unless they realize that they cannot afford to alienate the elderly of America by cutting Medicare and rationing medical care."

The Zogby International interactive poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percent.

I hope they are paying attention.

As far as this reform thing goes, he is going to piss off at least 50% of the population. The loyal obots are getting angry that he seems to be moving away from all his promises.

I think things are going to get really ugly.

I still don't know how to do quotes. ashamed

Too bad we're all suffering because of those who voted him in. Talk about buyers remorse, wow. Is't he lower than Bush during this time frame?

Well this decline could not happen to a more deserving individual. Hopefully, the American public is waking up, and will make Obama a one term president. At the very least, his slipping approval ratings may endanger some of the Dem seats in congress. We're in a dangerous position now, as we all know - Obama with a majority of Dems in both houses.

It was 47 a few days ago, and it just keeps dropping. I wish the price of gas would drop this quick! :)

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but as his ratings drop and people begin to wake up, I find it easier to let go of my own anger. Last year at this time, I felt that we were the ONLY ones who could see this man for who he really is. No, wait, scratch the "I felt"-- we WERE the only ones. But now that there's an active counter-movement on the right and some resistance starting to build on the left, it's like a weight has lifted off my shoulders. We don't have to carry this burden by ourselves anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's time to give up and abandon our activism. We definitely need to keep going. But it's nice not to feel so alone anymore.

Am I making sense here?

It's nice to know people aren't still TOTALLY blind.confuse

Morris is an idjit, but that is music to my ears!

That would be many of us here.wink

Wow, 5.7% - wonder what that's fallen from?

Obama's decline has been startling. Various polls had his approval rating at well over 60 percent at the 100-day mark of his presidency.

That's because O-liar started to implement the policies he PLANNED to put into place, not the policies he PROMISED to put into place.  And I don't believe he ever thought he would really pass single-payer.  Dems, as mentioned by Shadow (cute little avatar, BTW - it always make me smile!smile).

Thanks, NB!!

Gallup has been at an all time low for two days, 51% approval.

And Rassmussen is at -8.

Zogby Interactive: Loss of Democrats' Support Helps Bring Obama Job Approval Down to 42%

Several Core Constituencies Souring on Obama

UTICA, New York - President Barack Obama's job approval rating is down to 42%, with a decline in approval from Democrats the leading factor.

The latest Zogby Interactive poll of 4,518 likely voters conducted from August 28-31 found 48% disapprove and 42% approve of the job Obama is doing. The poll found 75% of Democrats approve of Obama's performance, a drop of 13 points among Democrats from an interactive poll done July 21-24 of this year. That same poll found 48% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance, and 49% disapproving.

In the most recent poll, 8% of Republicans and 37% of Independents approve of Obama's job performance. Both are down slightly from six weeks ago; two points among Republicans and three among Independents.

The approval rating among Indy's is interesting.  Doesn't bode well for the Fake POTUS.

and the week of Aug 12
Rasmussen Reports poll showed 58 percent of those surveyed view the former president favorably, while 53 percent feel the same about Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

It appears that Dems who drank kool-aid are missing the Clintons more and more each day

Ras is also reporting like 43%? I think, but now I'm doubting my memory. I just wish he'd go away. Everyday, I hear more and more of his scary proposals in legislation. It's really getting me down. I want to slap him a good one--I want our country back!

Even NJ, is standing up and fighting against Qaddafi and the Tea Party Express is fighting on the road. I'm so proud of American people. I hope with all my heart that we can win against this tyranny.

I hear ya, Kbently. it's tough to keep spirits and energy up. But Americans are waking up to the many flaws of this admin. I'm not letting my guard down, however, because we've seen the cheating, mind tricks, and manipulation that Obama and his folks are capable of. Just as importantly, we have seen the lengths that MSM will go to in order to keep the public in love with their guy. Four years is a long time, and he'll be able to pull a rabbit or two out of his bag of tricks a few times, and pull his ratings up - but I don't think there's any way he can keep fooling the public forever.

We need to be increasingly active, imo, between now and 2010 - ensuring that the public does not buy into Obama's PR.

Same here. As bad as things look now, I'm starting to feel more optimistic about our country's future. As a Generation X-er, this is the first time I can remember seeing so many Americans becoming politically active. Even better, the people are educating themselves on the issues instead of swallowing all the garbage that the msm is trying to feed them.

Last week, I watched John McCain's townhall meeting on Fox News. The attendees were respectful-- it wasn't like some of those other townhalls where the people start acting like they're on the Jerry Springer Show. Still, the tone was VERY different from the many McCain townhalls I watched last year. The people were asking him the kinds of issue-oriented questions one would expect from a savvy journalist. These were just ordinary folks, most of them senior citizens.

Just today, I was at the Michigan State Fair, where I got into a semi-political discussion with some people in the cow barn. There has been a lot of talk that this will be our last State Fair because there's no $$$ according to Governor Granholm. There was a Save Our Fair petition going around, which A LOT of people signed. And of course, I couldn't resist shooting off my mouth about why can't we use some of Obama's economic stimulus money to keep our fair going.

Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That’s down a point from yesterday and the lowest level of total approval yet measured for Obama. Fifty-three percent (53%) now disapprove. See recent demographic highlights from the tracking polls.
